Symptoms:

  • Where a jacket is tight on the front edge (appears to need more cloth) and/or when a fastened the side body and back are being dragged forward and the customer wishes to maintain a fitted look.

Pattern adjustments:

  • The amount added to the lead edge is then removed at the side seam equally (50:50) from the back edge of the side body and the front edge of the back. This maintains the circumference required.
  • This option adds between 1/4″ and 11/2″ to the front edge but maintains shape/look by removing the same from the side body.
  • This does not increase the front balance and should be only used on the “normal” block (chest minus waist greater then 11/2″ (3.8cm) not the semi-stout or corpulent blocks.
